TMF belongs to University of Belgrade. The Faculty comprises 17 departments. It provides undergraduate, specialized, master and doctoral studies.
Scientific work is performed through fundamental, applied and development research. During its long existence, the Faculty has given a remarkable contribution to the development of the Serbian economy through the education of highly qualified and well-educated engineers and staff as well as through the close cooperation with companies within the frame of numerous projects.
Textile Engineering Department has a long tradition relaying on a prominent multiplicity of scientific, technical and specific educational activities. It has been a member of the Association of Universities for Textiles-AUTEX since 1998. One of its major research directions is oriented towards modification of the fiber structures and surfaces for the application in composite materials, ion exchange systems, sorbents and biologically active materials.
ICTMF was founded within the TMF in 2009 with an aim to enhance its cooperation with economy, contribute to development of new products, technologies and services, and to provide better transfer of technologies and knowledge.
ICTMF systematically exploits its own and external scientific results for creation of innovations and development of prototypes and products based on the principals of environmental sustainability.
The research activities are directed towards synthesis of functional materials and high-tech materials, innovative application of developed materials, application of nanoscience and nanotechnologies, development of cleaner production and energy efficacy.
INNV is regarded as Serbia’s leading scientific institute in fundamental and applied research in the fields of natural, technical and medical sciences, organized in 16 Departments.
Institute employs 311 researchers, and 210 Ph.D. students working on national and international projects, as well as in international scientific research collaborations in which the Republic of Serbia is a member.
University of Belgrade promotes about 25 students from INNV to Ph.D. researchers annually. The participants of this Project work at Department of radiation physics and chemistry. This Department has established fundamental and applicable research in the field of radiation chemistry and materials science, technology transfer and it provides services to industry and organizations of public health system.
Specifically, at this Department synthesis and characterization of nanomaterials was established in early ’80, at the very beginning of this field development all over the world.
IOFH is an accredited research and development institute. It deals with basic, applied and developmental research in the field of physical chemistry, biochemistry, biophysics and environmental protection.
Associates of the IOFH participate in the implementation of 10 projects of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia. It also has an accredited Laboratory for Physicochemical and Chemical Analysis.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management authorized the institute to test water quality: sampling and physical and chemical testing of surface, groundwater and wastewater.
Numerous studies were done for various companies. Many technologies for the processing of waste raw materials from the food industry (whey, brewer's yeast, etc.) and for the full utilization of food raw materials and obtaining of biologically high-value food products were developed. Some of them were awarded at inventors' reviews.
